Marc Brickman Jasper Johns Inspired Three Flags Canvas Art Print – American Flag Contemporary Wall Art
Stars, Stripes & Skyscraper Light
Few images in American art are as instantly recognizable — or as endlessly layered — as Jasper Johns' Three Flags. Now, Marc Brickman brings that iconic imagery into a dazzling new dimension with this Three Flags Canvas Art Print, a tribute to Johns' masterwork rendered in the language of light on the world's most famous skyscraper.
On the historic evening of May 1, 2015, Brickman — the visionary lighting designer who has illuminated stages for Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, and countless others — transformed the Empire State Building into a living artwork to celebrate the opening of the Whitney Museum of American Art. This 19"×28" print captures that luminous moment, channeling Johns' layered, encaustic flag paintings into a bold, contemporary statement about identity, repetition, and the power of symbols.

Art That Asks Questions
Jasper Johns once said he painted "things the mind already knows." His flags weren't celebrations — they were meditations. Brickman's light-painted ESB carries that same contemplative energy: familiar yet transformed, monumental yet intimate. Hang this piece and let it ask its quiet, powerful questions of everyone who passes by.
Perfect for collectors of American art, contemporary design enthusiasts, and anyone who believes that the most powerful images are the ones we think we already understand.

Hung this in my office and it gets compliments every day. The colors are bold and clean and the print quality is excellent.
Well packaged and no issues with delivery. The print is sharp and the colors are exactly as shown.
This is not your typical flag art. The way the lighting creates the flag pattern on the building is genuinely creative.
The layered flag effect on the ESB is something I've never seen done quite like this. Really elegant and patriotic without being over the top.
The way the flags are layered in the light is subtle but brilliant. You notice more detail the longer you look at it.
The matte finish is perfect for this kind of image. Doesn't get any glare and the colors look great from every angle.
Big, bold, and beautiful. This commands attention in any room.
The idea is clever and the execution is clean. Would have liked a slightly larger size option but very happy with this.
Paper is heavy and the colors are rich. Packaged well and arrived on time. Exactly what was described.
Simple, striking, and beautifully printed. Framed it in white and it looks incredible.
Print quality is good and it looks great on the wall. Shipping was straightforward.
Bought this as a housewarming gift and the recipients loved it. Quality is very impressive in person.
