Marc Brickman Elizabeth Murray Inspired Children Meeting Art Print – Abstract Canvas Wall Art
Joy, Color & the Wonder of Connection
Bursting with warmth, playfulness, and an irresistible sense of life, Marc Brickman's Children Meeting is a canvas art print that radiates pure joy. Inspired by Elizabeth Murray's beloved 1978 painting of the same name — a work celebrated for its exuberant shapes, bold palette, and deeply human spirit — this print brings that same infectious energy to the Empire State Building's iconic silhouette.
On May 1, 2015, Brickman painted the ESB in light to honor the opening of the Whitney Museum of American Art, and this 19"×28" print preserves that magical evening in vivid, full-color detail. Murray's influence is unmistakable: the composition feels alive, almost cartoonish in the best possible way, as if the building itself has broken free from its rigid geometry and decided to dance.

Elizabeth Murray's Legacy
Murray was a force of nature in the New York art world — a painter who refused to be confined by the rectangle, who pushed her canvases into organic, biomorphic shapes that felt more like living creatures than flat surfaces. Her work was joyful, feminist, and fiercely original. Brickman's tribute honors that spirit, translating her exuberance into light and shadow on one of the world's most recognizable structures.
Bring this print into your home and let it do what Murray's work always did best: make you smile, make you wonder, and make you feel genuinely, unreservedly alive.
